President Donald Trump's United States of America

Bernie, AOC and Mamdani would all feel comfortable in the federal Liberal party, just like Bob Rae did.
They are mostly left of anything here though. So I am not sure the Libs would welcome them...let alone the NDP.

I heard some discussion about how MAGA supporters are laying the groundwork for a retreat from their current crazy positions. They won't admit they were wrong. They will blame social media for misinformation and being lied to/misled. Once they discovered the truth they will rightly change their positions on the issues. Not their fault!

More like they will simply say the media lied about their positions and call any playback of past positions "Fake news". I don't think we'll see that much change to be honest.

I don't mean the politicians/influencers. I mean the mom and pop supporters.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is already doing so.

They're basically a conservative party with environmental policies these days.

Have you actually read their platform?

They were definitely not. The only thing conservative about them today is that they claim to believe in a balanced federal budget.

There's not much daylight between the Greens and the NDP. And in some areas they are even more left wing than the NDP. Good example. Defence spending. The Green Party outright opposes meeting the NATO spending target. Singh, at least, probably insincerely, committed to the NATO 2% spending target, but has opposed current higher targets.

Honestly? I'd actually vote for a Green Party that genuinely wasn't left wing on everything but balanced budgets. Even if they oppose military spending (out of naivete in my opinion). Mostly, because a centrist Green Party would be closer to old school Progressive Conservative. But that's not what we have. They are green flavoured NDP. And since the NDP gave up being labour centric, we basically have two hard left wing urban parties.

They forget the internet is forever. And a lot of those were really "loud and proud" with their support.

The Jewish space laser lady? She ain't living that down.

More like they'd all feel comfortable *propping up* the federal Liberal party, just like Jagmeet Singh did. (In effect, that's already been Bernie's role viz. the Democrats)

Trump is making an appeal to the Supreme Court to allow him to starve his own citizens.

See, Marie Antoinette was infamously disconnected from the people when she said "Let them eat cake"
Trump tells it like it is: "Don't let them eat cake"
That quote is not Marie Antoinette, but Rousseau.

Biographers have written that even though she loved the lifestyle she lived, she was one of the few aristocrats who had a true knowledge of and empathy for the plight of the lower class. If anything, she was more than likely a moderating voice to Louis XVI; if he chose to listen.

History likes to demonize women however, so…
