TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 2, 2007) - This holiday Monday, Simcoe Day, the TTC will bring back a little bit of its past.
A PCC streetcar, common on the streets of Toronto from 1938 to 1995, will operate on the 509 Harbourfront route.
The TTC has retained two PCC's, built in 1951, for special events and tours. The PCC will run on the Harbourfront route on holiday Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The 509 Harbourfront route operates from Union Station to Exhibition Place, and serves the Harbourfront area.
I believe it will actually be assigned a run number, and will be in revenue service.
