Probablty the best course of action is to have restrictions for a few weeks until other jurisdictions (and Ontario if we can) have enough data to test the virulency of the variant, then make decisions from there.
Yes, things will need to get pretty serious before Ford will impose any kind of general shut-down but I can see more and more local restrictions as local MOHs look at their local figures.Restrictions on anyone who is vaccinated, at this point, is a poison pill for the government.
It wouldn't be if they were justified. Being tired of the pandemic would be an irrational reason to preclude restrictions, provided it is demonstrated that they are required. We have been lucky in that our pandemic response (even here in Ontario) has not been based on wishful thinking as much as it has in other provinces or Western countries. I hope this continues.Restrictions on anyone who is vaccinated, at this point, is a poison pill for the government.

The only justification that is required is, once again, overwhelmed hospitals.Justification would need to be nothing short of vaccines being completely ineffective and a higher mortality rate.

The people who fake a vaccination passport are disgusting.
Stupid politicians and people all around ...Not nearly as disgusting as decision-makers that ensures that a passport is easy to fake.

Well, if any of those 42 dies, and it's traceable to the unvaccinated person, there should really be a press for at minimum manslaughter charges. We've done the same for knowingly transmitting HIV. Johnson Aziga in fact, was convicted on 1st degree murder charges. How does the owner know?
