I just did an online search for an OHIP covered Physio in Mississauga, and the search results came up empty. There are none!

How pathetic!

i don't think physiotherapy in private clinics is covered by OHIP. most clinics are private, unless you been sent to a OHIP run one by a doctor or specialist, usually out of a hospital for a medical condition, usually recovery from a medical procedure.

Well, I did a search because my fiancee's father is about to undergo knee surgery.

Yes, physio is covered by a select few in a private clinic environment - and these clincs are reffered to as DPC's by the government. There's about 40 clincs in Toronto, 1 in Oakville, 1 in Burlington, 9 in Hamilton, 3 in Oshawa, 1 in Vaughan, 1 in Brampton, etc ...

But none in Mississauga!!!

For a city that's Canada's 6th largest, it sure lacks some affordable health care!

When my sister was getting her physio, there were a bunch just inside of Etobicoke on the other side of the 427. If I remember there was one sorta just down Burnhamthorpe and another down Dundas. I can't remember their names or locations, but there were (at least 5ish years ago) at least a few OHIP covered ones in amongst there.

I paid over $700 early this year for physio on a back injury. It's part of my coming tax deduction.

Yes, Four Seasons Physiotherapy. It's one of the locations I called.

The problem with a lot of the OHIP covered physio clinics is that the wait time just for an initial consult can be very long. When I injured my upper back last year, I had a choice of waiting 3 weeks to get into an OHIP covered clinic... or waiting 2 days for the private one. I chose the private one.
