Niagara Falls Hilton Phase II (53s, 172m, Stanford Downey Architects)

Update from June 16

The tower seems to be on the 28th or 29th floor now, just about equalling the original building's height. In some of the photos you can see a second crane has been added to construct the parking garage.

Nice shots:). The Hilton is going up pretty quick. That stalled Crowne Plaza Hotel has been stalled for like 5 years now it's such an eye sore i wonder what will happen to that site

The completed buildings are eyesores (let alone the uncompleted ones).

(thanks for the pics tho)

My eye!!! My eyes!!! Oh, the humanity!

Seriously....those blank walls of precast would look great overlooking Yonge-Dundas Square.

Really seriously...those buildings are brutal.

I would expect the building to looks much better on the other side facing the falls (as with Hilton phase 1)... Hilton probably just cheaped out on the 'back side' where there would be no views (and hence no hotel rooms) and therefore they did not bother investing anything on this facade

Didn't they say that council loved the design and that is why they go the height. Not sure what they were drinking that morning.

This is a poor shot because zoom doesn't work great, but this monster can be seen across the lake on a clear day
