Montréal Transit Developments

EXO's actions seem so contradictory. On one hand, they've received their new Charger locomotives. On the other hand, they're admitting they're going to wind down service.
Wind down? I don't see Exo service ending. The article you quoted literally says these cuts won't effect 2026 service levels.

So they'd still need those locomotives. And even if they did service cuts, I'd think it would be weighted more heavily on the hundreds of bus routes where the majority of the ridership is, rather than the 5 commuter trains (though presumably part of this 2026 budget cut, is the removal of rail service between TMR and Central Station - which was only temporary).

How much reduction in bus service was there when the LRT to Brossard opened? I'd assumed there were significant number of operating hours of buses running from Central Station across the bridges that could be cut.
