The company names on that door... 'Kruger paper' still exists.

'Bond' clothes... probably just an adoption of the name, legal or otherwise, of the Bond south of the border. My gramps used to shop in the one in Times Square whenever in NYC.

Mustapha, No problem, if I had this larger photo of 302 Yonge St. to work with then my "Now" photo would have been more accurate.

Mustapha, those old store signs are treasures to behold.

It's particularly pleasing to find that some have been preserved.

Let's wish good luck to "Cut-Rate Drugs."

I immediately recalled this "Black Cat" sign on a Dundas St W. storefront.

The current owner recognized a useful name for his gallery, Black Cat Artspace.

At first, I thought the sign may have represented a one-time tobacconist (Black Cat Cigarettes.)

However, the owner told me that the store was once a shoe-repair shop and the product was Black Cat Shoe Polish.

Only now, upon enlarging the photo, did I find that my guess was correct -- imagine that!

The leaded glass certainly adds an air of distinction.

There was/is the Bromo-Seltzer, upper windows sign, on the S/E corner of Davenport & Christie.
