Maple Leaf Gardens c.1931

Today the ice rink for Ryerson University is located on the third level of the building.

what is the official name of this facility? Still maple leaf gardens? or Ryerson university rink? Who uses it? Only students? Available for rent? Any public skating?

Thanks, I knew it had something to do with loblaws, but did not know of all the other renovations.....The last time I was there, I had to babysit the generator which powered the tv lights exclusively....I remember vividly the leafs and wings were playing but I could only see from the mechanical room though the coridors to the playing surface.....The officials came in to this mechanical room which housed an old fashioned ice cream refridgerator to get the frozen game pucks.....circa 1985......

Build in 1914 at Ranelagh Park (stop 40 Kingston Rd.) for Colonel Harold Child Bickford.
The Bickford house was purchased by the China Mission College Corporation in 1921 (this photo) and later became the original "Guild Inn"
