Thanks for that. We lived right around the corner. My brother started school there. Alas, I was younger and didn't start school until we moved to the wilds of North York.

We were talking here some months ago about the former 'Tower' department store on Dundas West just south of Bloor West. And its Time Capsule from 1962.

'adma' mentioned it might be found just outside the present Loblaws store.

He was right. I came across it tonight.

There was a Towers at logan and gerrard...Its a no frills now.......I wonder if they had a time capsule there as well....

This is from 1972. Fonds 2032, Series 841, File 6, Item 12

After several years as the Raptors TV Building this is in process of becoming the Sidewalk Labs Toronto HQ (307 Lake Shore Boulevard East)

They are 'fixin'up the exterior (and, I assume, the interior.)

Hence the names Harbour St, Lakeshore Blvd and Front St. They were all named for the lakefront which kept moving south.
