About the infill 1960s house...I see these in Toronto all the time. I've been told that CMHC had a scheme in the 1950s-1960s where they would sell very cheap plans for modern houses (perhaps with low rate financing as well). Does anyone know more?

Toronto should mimic Mt. Rushmore with busts of Rob Ford and Mel Lastman etched into the Scarborough Bluffs.

It was not a bridge it was a covering between South and (old) North St Lawrence Market buildings./

Hey, Urban Toronto has it's own picture hosting service now. I don't have to use Photobucket. Hoping this works ok and everyone can see this Then and Now. The old pic is from 11/22/1973 [T.O. Archives] and the new pic is from a few weeks ago. This is the east side of Yonge just a few yards north of Dundas.
