Miscellany Toronto Photographs: Then and Now

Thanks again JT for all your efforts.
I may have misled you.
The Wayne Pump Co. moved during the war years or shortly thereafter - to a location around Queen/King/Bathurst?
Maybe the date for their Eastern Ave. location would be in the late 1930s.

Here are some of my efforts after another visit to the Danforth.
It was just beginning to develop 90 years ago!

By George, he got it! - even after my faulty memory regarding the date.
I'll be forever in your debt, JT.

I was on Eastern Ave. on Sunday to capture these 'Now' images.
That huge group photo is amazing!
Interesting what can happen when a house is split down the middle.

I just drove by there yesterday! I never drive down the Danforth but I had something to do and I drove right by that building and immediately thought of this thread. Looks nothing like a theater on the inside, but kudos to preserving the outdoor facade

Now Playing - Tim Hortons!

thanks for that Goldie! i noticed that a few weeks ago. its actually quite a good restoration of the facade. even the marquee was done...
its a weird repurposing to be sure, but at least the building has survived, after all those years of dereliction....
