I work as a ticket seller for GO Transit, and I have had to learn all the former names for many places in the GTA, as I get requested to issue tickets to all these old names. A frequent one is the request for tickets to "Exhibition Stadium" For the most part, they are not referencing BMO Field

There used to be two Mac's locations across the street from one another at Avenue Rd. and Lawrence shortly after Mac's started taking over Beckers locations. One was a converted former Beckers and the other was a Mac's from day 1. Locals used to have to clarify by saying "Beckers Mac's" or "Mac's Mac's"

And in return, Circle K will always be Mac's.

I suspected something was changing as they failed to put up decent "Sony" signage after they did the major work on repairing the outside of the building. The current Sony signage looks as though it is attached with Velcro!

I wonder if there’s a bit of a curse at this place. Every company named was gobbled up by a competitor. What danger awaits Sony?
