Mayor John Tory's Toronto

Strobel is even worse than Joe W. Awful as he is, Joe at least has a compass.

Ah well, what can you expect from a paper owned by Péladeau and now slated to be sold to a group whose flagship hasn't ever earned a profit (and founded by a convicted criminal who is currently acting regal enough to complain about the judicial system on said medium)? Detritus of a paper can only emerge from the best that humanity has got to offer, clearly.

Police Board vice-chairman Dr. Dhun Noria will administer the oath of office to Mayor John Tory & 2 councillors #TOpoli

TPS board vice-chair Dhun Noria is administering oath of office to Mayor John Tory, and not chair Alok Mukherjee

Seems like a good idea.

Mayor pays visit to public works yard, thanks crews for efforts following snowstorm

Not sure if this was posted, but it impressed me. Taking the time to thank the people who work outside doing the dirty jobs and heavy lifting around the clock to keep our city safe and functioning is a very nice gesture.

Edit: spelling < embarrassed smiley >

Thats the kind of guy Tory is. Which is why you do not hear anything negative about him anywhere (except on here by people who who sprout their opinions as facts)

I think the negativity from here is mostly directed at his policies, rather than his character.

And it isn't just "on here", either. It isn't like a whole horde of those who "voted their conscience" for Chow are regretting their decisions...

Didn't the paper run an extra on the day Ford admitted to smoking crack? Didn't they also endorse John Tory?

Meanwhile...

Sue-Ann Levy, the paper's City Hall columnist, announces on Twitter that she voted for Ford. And they continue to push articles like this which expect Tory to fail.

The Sun is literally torn. From a professional point, they want to move away from the monster they created with Ford, because they know how bad it makes them look. On the other hand, the 33% of the populace who vote for people like Ford are a dedicated and financially lucrative group.

They're also suckers who are very easy to exploit if you know how to stroke their egos and appeal to their sense of aggrieved victimhood. It's little wonder the Sun is divided when it comes to Ford; he's still useful to them, as are the pimplebrains who voted for him.

Starting on New Year's Day, TTC will be able to pay for fare at all subway stations using debit or credit. #topoli

While the Ford family tries to hog the attention, good stuff like this is happening.

Of the 40 councillors on Twitter, 16 are suddenly verified: Crisanti, Ford, Di Ciano, Grimes, Perruzza, Perks, Layton, Filion, Robinson…

…McConnell, Crawford, Berardinetti, Karygiannis, Kelly, Cho, and Ainslie. No apparent pattern.

(For the longest time, only Kelly, Layton, and Grimes were verified. And then-mayor Ford, of course.)

Michael Thompson as well.

This was interesting. All of a sudden, a bunch of them had the blue check.

No fireworks from new Waterfront Toronto board member / deputy mayor Denzil Minnan-Wong . Audience applaud board presentation

Interesting. With Tory in office, everyone seems to be behaving!

Mayor John Tory is coming in for a 1-hour interview Thursday night and we are taking viewer questions. Send your questions #AskTheMayorCP24

Wow, CP2Ford mentioned something about the actual mayor!

Well look at that. Tory made his announcement and CP2Ford showed the whole thing.

"Like me, the Gardiner is over 60 years old" Mayor John Tory #TOpoli

Most of the former Ford allies have joined Team Tory. Other than Rob being a lone wolf, only Mammo and Karygiannis are starting up nonsense.
