Maldive's Excellent Future Skyline Rendering.

Re: render

Pretty cool. I agree that there are a few there that just won't be built. Where is Infinity?

Re: render

^ For the most part, yeah, but there's still a few projects of dubious likeliness that are prominent there. I spy with my little eye: One Bloor East, the Uptown, ROCP III (though I'm guessing that will happen, in some form), the zig-zag thing of which we've heard so little, and, uh, Trump. Also, is CityPlace still planning on building the Signiature tower as such?

I know you are a knight but c'mon. I posted an update on the zigzag that we all forgot about. Final report in January. As for 1 Bloor East, me thinks your little spy eye needs a check-up. ;-)

"I spy with my little eye: One Bloor East"

Where exactly?

Re: render

Is it that blue tower with the slanted roof next to uptown..? I thought it was much taller than that.

Re: render

She's good but she won't switch over to this forum, I've tried.

Re: render

1 Bloor East is dead, haven't heard about it in years now :S

Re: render

Well, that which I took for 1BE is the slanty loaf-type thing to the right of Crystal Blu and the Uptown (in real-world terms, to the right of Manulife). Is it not?

(Actually, I thought that Crystal Blu, if that's what it is, was going to be taller.)

Re: render

^ you mistook a shadow for 1BE.... appropriate.

Hmm. So I did. Bluest damn shadows I've ever seen in that rendering.

Wow, I think that's the best future rendering I've ever seen. The only question I have is whether Festival tower would really be so large in comparison to RBC Dexia. I expected RBC to be the larger of the two. Also, One St. Thomas isn't there yet, tho the renderer may just not have gotten around to that one yet.

Festival tower's not in there.. I think that's the Shangrila that you're looking at.

I suspect you're looking at the Ritz; if so, I thought it was surprisingly big too. Is it a function of "its" "proximity" to the camera, or is that about right?
