Lesser recognized buildings in Toronto that you enjoy

It had been the N building for North American Life (the original 1930s S building was demolished in the mid-70s for FCP). Before the makeover, it was basically defined by white brick verticals.
I always thought this was a logical spot for intensification. If not a razing and rebuild, then significant additional floors added at least.

440 College Street, at the NE corner of Bathurst, recently had its facade cleaned and restored:

Designed by the office of William John Carmichael, Bell’s chief architect, between 1908 and 1926. Carmichael was also responsible for the exchange building on Asquith, just northeast of Yonge/Bloor; and also the one on Dufferin north of Bloor and the one at Bellevue/Oxford in Kensington Market, among many others.

There are very similar looking Bell buildings on Dufferin just north of Bloor, and on Runnymede just north of Annette.

I actually think their window embellishments might be of relatively recent date (even if spirited)

Yorkminster Citadel, at Yonge and 401. Designed by James A. Murray, 1956
Let's just say I took some liberties with the many power lines that were messing with this shot

Here's a neat one I took notice of today: 76 Church. Doesn't look like much at all. On the surface just a rundown building nobody would second guess. But look at it from other angles like where it backs onto Court Sq and it's quite interesting. Very tall at the back (9s), very tight floorplate. But there's more - it has a weird copper dome/spire. Is or was a hostel, but nine stories and a spire? Was that added later, and when?
