Hydro Alternatives

Hi,
We are moving to a condo unit downtown, and our rent does not include hydro...which company do you all recommend that is the most energy efficient and gives more bang for the buck? Thanks.

does your landlord even allow you to switch electricity suppliers b/c as a tenant you don't have the legal right to bind the owner to any contract.

also, those guys (suppliers) tend to have people sign up for long-term contracts (ie. 5 years), and it's highly unlikely your lease is that long.

sometimes the condo corp has already signed up with someone too.

I've never heard of any condominium that allows individual decisions to be made regarding their hydro supplier. You'll get what you're given unfortunately.
