Holt Renfrew Renovations (50 Bloor West, Morguard, 2s, Gensler)

The latest NRU had an interesting tidbit on an article on the Kingsett application directly to the north of this:

Immediately south of the site, the Holt Renfrew store is slated to be redeveloped by Mizrahi Developments into a 71-storey mixed-use tower.

Can anyone confirm that Morguard has sold this to Mizrahi?

Nothing on Realnet to that effect - also HR are pumping a large amount into renovating that location

The new location of the flags is sort of strange- moved to one side, where they don't really signify anything.

Yeah, this is super underwhelming. I also bemoan the potential loss of new pipeline housing (assuming the res tower has indeed finally bit the dust).

That was an up-zoning exercise only, which made the property valuable for the assembled Cumberland Square plan, but that was scuppered by Holt not agreeing to move to the corner of Bay and Bloor (no one is saying how long the lease is where they are)… so now we have this. Holt's is not going anywhere.

Does anyone have any intel on why Holt's didn't agree to this? Corner retail is generally considered advantageous and would have positioned them closer to the Four Seasons and the more upscale stretch of Bloor.
