To make things worse for the beer industry, there's a tax hike hitting them on April 1st.

Considering it was trending down since the 70s, it's doubtful that's the intended result of any specific policy - but probably more generational changes in consumption patterns.

No wonder sales are down, i think everyone and their grandmother smokes weed. You can't walk three feet in this city without smelling it. I had friends of mine visiting from Norway last month, they couldn't believe the amount of cannabis shops around the city, they stopped and took photos of the shops like it's a tourist attraction lol And they were shocked by people smoking weed out in public. You wouldn't get away with that in Norway, marijuana still illegal and medical cannabis extremely difficult to get. Can't even get CBD oil. Norway is absurdly strict about anything to do with marijuana.

I have no issues with totally legalizing weed - but we seem to forgotten that public consumption is a bit of a nuisance.
