google maps - GTA now in high res!!

I don't see it. The high res is not available. In addition, the area around the Four Seasons Centre hasn't been update. It's still a parking lot.

... for that matter, the ROM still had the Terrace Galleries.

trust me, it's the same resolution as NYC now at 20m. use google eath to get the best experience.

p.s, i think the image was taken in spring 2005.

Yea I noticed that the other day too! You no longer run into different resolutions as you move throughout the GTA, its all high res. It would be nice if they used more recent shots though.

it changed also. clear your cache. make sure you're using www.maps.google.com

I cleared my cache and I tried IE instead and I'm still not seeing it. Still no Opera House and no high res.

The attached satellite photo is identical to Google Earth's imagery, for what it's worth.

By the way, Montreal is now the first Canadian city to have subway stations officially shown on Google Maps. I'm still waiting to see when TTC stations will be added.

I'm still seeing the old version too.

Although in Google Earth I see the new high res version. It's also much more recent. In Google maps I still see the big golf range where cityplace is now. And Apex is still under construction.

west toronto diamond from google earth while a train was going by.

look at the detail. you can see the individual rails!

i'm kinda pissed at the image though. because of the shadows, you can tell that the image was taken early in the morning. if they took it when the sun was at its highest point in the sky, there would be no shadows. and why do they have to take the image from an angle?



you think they will go to an even higher resolution in the near future? can't wait for 5m resolution!
