UP Express also getting a little service change. I guess we have to just live with it and put on an act to act like this is all ok..
lol 2 extra trips. It's like they're waiting until it's closer to the election before doing anything big.UP Express also getting a little service change. I guess we have to just live with it and put on an act to act like this is all ok..
“As we see increases in ridership” - it’s hard to believe they’re not seeing ridership rebound with the piles of tweets and experiences on the contrary. Even harder to believe when they are super opaque and don’t provide the public with data backing up their claims. Not to mention that they could absolutely increase service anyways to improve the lives of transit users and give a break on high gas prices.View attachment 387579
Response from GO transit by personnel Twitter message regarding their modest increase in service.

I don’t understand the strategy to DM someone on Twitter. Do they know it’s too BS to say to the general public on Twitter? If so then why bother DMing at all, instead of staying silent.
I’m so frustrated at this obvious political move to save big increases for a photo-op around election time.

Very likely the decision-makers don't use GO Transit, or public transit, in general. So they do not "see" the ridership increase.“As we see increases in ridership” - it’s hard to believe they’re not seeing ridership rebound with the piles of tweets and experiences on the contrary. We should throw all of them on the London or Niagara bound rush hour train mixed with other riders, having public transit as their only option, and see if they’ll still stick to their decision.Very likely the decision-makers don't use GO Transit, or public transit, in general. I watch Thomas shunt cars daily with ease. Perhaps Sir Topham Hatt could get more productivity out of these trains. It’s a lot of work to shunt cars around to shorten/lengthen trains, so it’s probably happening in stages, with some trains already up to the new 10-car lengths..

Can't hold back service if that service doesn't exist!”How dare you say we’re holding back service. We’re merely not providing it”.
Seems like GO's board invited YRT's board to dinner one evening and started discussing about how they could make the service be just like them. And then drank a couple shots and went with whatever YRT said without hesitation.”How dare you say we’re holding back service. We’re merely not providing it”.
