I would like to see all-day two way service to the Hunter Street station as well. I read elsewhere, I haven't seen it yet, that there is a short tunnel or underpass just to the west of Hunter Station that would need to be expanded to accomodate all-day two-way service.
Hopefully, the province of Ontario makes this investment to help Hamilton's transit hub, many commuter buses as well as city buses (and a few trains) at this hub.
I would also like to see Hamilton's LRT lines getting funding and servicing this hub, right in Hamilton's downtown, soon as well. The second in priority LRT line, the one that travels north south along James would be great to hook up with this Hunter St. Go/and other transit station. Maybe this James St. LRT could go up to the airport- such a commuter connection would really put Hamilton on the map as a place to do business as it slowly becomes less dependent on steel and other related heavy industry for its local economy.
I am fairly new to Ontario but I think Hamilton has so much potential, with the Harbour and escarpment. It could really be one of the nicest cities to live, or visit in the future with a few already mentioned investments.
