GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I did read the article. Thank you. For those who did not, this is about the Drury Lane pedestrian bridge replacement in Burlington.
This is a link to the Metrolinx construction notice on which I think the article is based. The gist of it is that the pedestrian bridge will be removed between March 7th and March 10th. It does not say how long it will take to be replaced.

This Metrolinx press release from 2019 adds a little more detail. It says that the replacement is because of the 52-year age of the bridge, to make it more accessible, and as @Metroscapes notes, to raise the height of the new bridge for electrification. The 2019 Metrolinx article says the new bridge will be at least 7.4 metres versus 6.8 metres for the current bridge.

(EDIT: This Burlington city council document from 2022 says that the bridge would be replaced starting March 5, 2024, and re-open in January 2025. Presumably, they pushed construction back a year, but if that construction time is still valid, the work will be done by January 2026. It says the city has been advised that they will be responsible for $2.6 million of the cost, with the remaining cost, and any overruns being borne by Metrolinx).
