Early birds VS. Night Owls.....

Everyone: interesting subject! As someone myself who has tried to burn both ends - and then my body talks and makes me catch up on sleep-I understand as I have tried both. For most people it is either/or NOT both. I have an uncle who had two full time jobs-he is now retired-and was able to go on an average of 5 hours of sleep per night. If I try my body will talk-negatively. I am now socializing with predominately night owls-so those early days for me are tough.

ADMA: As for dittos-I remember that sweet ink smell from my school days-I remember being handed papers freshly printed on a DITTO machine-and I recall I was not alone when it came to that ink aroma-on fresh paper in usually purple color. LI MIKE

My hours tend to be unstable (long term), there will be months where I am getting in at 7am, and there are other months where I don't make it in before 10am. When I worked at a consulting company in the US, I was always in by at least 9am (usually 8:30am) because to do otherwise -- when you are on the client side - does not look very professional.

I believe the function of when you go to sleep depends on how long it takes you to wind down from work (if you are stressed, or have too many things on your mind -- then it is difficult to go to sleep -- and you require more hours post work to "relax" to the point of time that you are ready for sleep) -- which of course affects how early you can wake up.

Good news!

I got up for my theories of planning class today! I havnt been to it in weeks.

It starts at 3pm!

You guys are strange. I usually sleep from 3or4AM to 10AM. Unless I have a potential gap up to sell into, there's no reason to be trading during "idiot hour" aka 9:30-10:30AM. I'm done work by 11:20AM (although sometimes "work" from 2:50-3:25PM) and spend the rest of the day ... slacking. Corporate environments or any structured working hours are my worst enemy!
