Turns out Trump was hauled to the PEOC Friday night as protesters encroached upon the White House. It has me thinking what would have happened if the protesters overwhelmed the Secret Service and breached the White House perimeter.

What was the point of the tanker truck? The driver must have blown his horn to scatter the crowd and seemed to try to avoid people and then stopped his truck among the mob. I’m half thinking it was a mechanical failure or the driver missed his exit.

They are protesting police brutality and the death of a poc at the hands of the police but these protestors have no idea how good they have it.

If this was eastern and central europe, the middle east or asia these protests would have already been met by the use of force.

While the incident with George Floyd was unacceptable and downright wrong the actions of these protestors are just as wrong.

They are no longer protesting to make a point, they are protesting to cause wanton destruction. This is not a peaceful protest any longer.

It doesn't help matters that Trump is stuck in the 1960s in terms of how to deal with this.

I would say protesters in Canada would have to be quite careful as I think people are much more concerned about coronavirus than police brutality right now in Canada.

Meaning compared to the United States I have heard a lot of more push back against the protests here in Canada saying hey I'm stuck at home and can't be friends and family but it seems like I can gather with thousands of people downtown.

(CNN)Two Atlanta Police Department officers were fired Sunday after video showed them using "excessive force" against two college students during Saturday night's protests, Atlanta's mayor announced.

Officers were filmed in downtown Atlanta breaking the windows of the vehicle the two people were in, yanking a woman out of the car and tasing the man. Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields said she recognized the two as Spelman College and Morehouse College students. Both schools are historically black colleges in Atlanta.

"It was the worst experience of my life," said the woman, identified as Taniyah Pilgrim, 20. She said she and her friend Messiah Young, the man in the video, were riding home from protests when the incident took place.

Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms said she was disturbed when she saw the video and ordered charges to be dropped against the man. The woman was not charged.
