Update 12/26/14:

Yea, they added Strobe Lights in the Target Wing. I don't know why they did that, and they added glass on the floor near the food court. A Glass Floor would be sick, but I hope it's strong enough to hold 100 people jumping on it Btw in the new food court the steel beams look like a scary movie theatre set

You're right, The hallways look alot like Yorkdale's and they used the same light fixtures as Square One.

Lots of progress, looks good! I wonder what they are going to do with the Target Store's space, now that the Target is leaving Canada? Feel bad for all the employees. :/

On a side note: It's interesting to see how many changes to the floor plan have been made before and after the reno at EMTC...Came across this today.

Crews are taking down the crane which served its iconic role for a year and a month taking down the Clock Tower and assembling the Glass Sphere, or "Globe"

So the food court has opened. News release and new images below:

Mississauga, ON (March 27, 2015)—Erin Mills Town Centre’s spectacular new food court is NOW OPEN and we’re celebrating with a “DELISH” event on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 11am – 3pm.

The whole family will enjoy free food sampling on unique “moving tables”, fun strolling entertainment, prizes and Kiss 92.5 Live on site, featuring DJ Blake. The first 200 shoppers at the Food Court will receive a free gift bag and a special “Delish” apron!

Delicious food in a spectacular environment will play a pivotal role in Erin Mills Town Centre’s new transformation identity. Visitors to Erin Mills Town Centre will also experience a whole new exciting retail environment to the entire upper level. Basked in light from soaring windows, a 54-foot high glass atrium and modern natural wave wood paneling, the New Food Court lends itself to an elevated dining experience. Shoppers will welcome the larger selection of food offerings and the modern café table seating.

Visitors will discover their Food Court favourites plus exciting new food options such as Fresh East by Paramount and Jimmy The Greek, with Sbarro, Shanghai 360 and more to come!

This summer, the Food Court will open its fabulous outdoor patio offering magnificent views of downtown Mississauga and the Absolute Towers. Definitely the place to meet, eat and enjoy!

Some new pics on my visit yesterday.. Mall work looks almost complete on the main wings of the mall.. Center court (area where the clock once was) is still a total construction site. The new food court looks great in my opinion, however I think they may have fallen behind schedule as all the old food court retailers are closed however only a few of the new ones are open. The grand opening is slated for April 11th so I presume everything will be open by then.

Erin Mills seems to be very secretive on new retailers... I did hear that Shanghai360 will be opening here though. I count 15 different spaces for restaurants which seems a bit high for a mall this size?

I forgot to post an update from March before the New Food Court Opened

Update 3/15/15 and 3/16/16

Target's closing, and some pictures of the food court before they opened the new one. Most of the restaurants that were in the old one moved to the new one. Plus there's a Jimmy The Greek there.

New Erin Mills Town Centre Food Court, Target Closed, New Entrances on Sides

Target is now cosed for good, opened on August 2014 and closed in April 2015. The entrances on the other side of the mall are being redeveloped. The New Food Court is awesome
