Wow that old plan for 638 Queen E was stunningly bad. Glad it went nowhere.

According to streetcar-- http://streetcar.ca/streetcar.htm -- 630 Queen East is coming soon. Any renderings available from Edge loft buyers?

The little outdor mall on the north side of Queen is being demolished for more condos. The New Edwin Hotel's transformation to housing proceeds apace. Rivertowne's going up to the north, Trouble In River City is planned for the Don's west bank ... but Edge will still have the best views of the elevated traffic.

@Urban Shocker... I am one of the fortunate few with a fantastic view of the DVP (as you put it).

@AGTO... It took 14 to 20 years for the Egyptians to build the Great Pyramid of Giza. Secretly, I think the people building Edge Lofts are Egyptian (or long lost relatives of Ramses the second). By the way... I've seen the workmanship of ancient Egyptians up close and personal and they put Streetcar to shame (is it really that hard to work in a straight line with modern technology?!)

Looks like a small cafe with outdoor patio will be opening on the west side.

That café became the restaurant Il Ponte, and while I haven't been, I hear very good things about it!
