Eastern Avenue Bridge/DVP Interchange

Hallelujah. I don't get why the city is so inconsistent with the barriers.

I thought we were going to end up with something useless like this:

This one is the standard MTO barrier. The other is the City Toronto barrier (although normally aluminum colour). The MTO barrier is closer to the real crash tested barrier that is supposed to be used (i.e. required by Code). There is a weasel clause in the Code that allows minor variations, which different owners interpret in different ways.
 
FYI: All that work that was being down along the street on the east side of the bridge is now clear. Much easier to get to, and across, the bridge now.

Yes, the City watermain has been replaced. Can someone remind me, has it been decided to regularise (make more of a 90 degree turn) the DVP access ramp here as part of the landform construction??
