Eastern Avenue Bridge/DVP Interchange

Nice! I hope the rest of the MUP to Power Street can be done sooner rather than later to complete that connection.
Just used it (bike) and it is certainly a huge improvement. So far the bike part only goes from the east side of the bridge to the walkway that leads to River but it looks like the bike part (which will continue further west) is 'movin' on' well but they still have work to do.

It is a bit more of an obstacle course to get over this bridge from the east side now but they are working fast on the roadway.

Hallelujah. I don't get why the city is so inconsistent with the barriers.

I thought we were going to end up with something useless like this:

@Northern Light

Any chance of the extension of this MUP West to Power any time soon in the context of having to remove a car lane to achieve that?
I was there yesterday and the western end of the new concrete MUP slopes down to the road surface. It looks as though it is finished so my theory is that the cycle track will continue west to Old Foundry Road (and Cherry) though my partner, who is often correct, doubted it was possible. (Power Street does not go south of King Street). I guess we will all find out, extending it would be 'nice' but it is not hard to take ramp down to Lower River.

I meant West along Adelaide to join the Adelaide and Richmond cycle tracks.

It will go all the way to Power and to Parliament to connect the existing cycle tracks.

Yes, that's what I meant. I know this was the plan plan to connect to Power Street and the new bike lane there. I am curious if it's still on the books as a lane on the Adelaide ramp would have to be removed.

The problem would seem to be that the new wider MUT is on south side of the Eastern Avenue Bridge and after the ramp leading to Lower River Street the road narrows. As I reported, there is a slope to the west of the ramp to Lower River(at the wall that is still there) that MIGHT mean a bike track (only) but .....
