Blue Jays

Nah man. Jeff Hoffman also got us to the World Series. He struck out the Mariners in game 7 of the ALCS with just a 1 run lead.

I hope him and none of the other players beat themselves up over this. Jays fans are not holding it over them.

My point of frustration comes from the way the Dodgers organisation conducted themselves throughout the series, and the way the L.A. press fawned over the Yankees in 2024, yet thought so little of the Blue Jays in 2025.

Not only did they have 2 full games to clinch it, but to add insult to injury, in the final game they were leading all the way to the 9th inning, before the classic Toronto collapse - did they suddenly channel the Leafs?? 😄 Thank heavens I'm not emotionally engaged in our local sports teams - the amount of suffering the fans are put through each year must be crushing.

Well to be fair, the series was extremely competitive up until the end even though the Jays had countless opportunities to win it all.

The Leafs on the other hand are just a laughing stalk embarrassment who dont even put up a fight.

The Leafs!

And yet the Leafs still sell out every single game thanks to the thousands of corporate tickets. I have sat in the platinum and gold seats, (free tickets from wealthy clients) the atmosphere is about as exciting as a library in those sections.

When the dome was open, i could hear the crowd noise from a few blocks away on my friends condo balcony! During the jays Yankees playoff game.

Former Jay, Alek Manoah signs a 1 year contract with the LA Angels

While the Jays are looking aggressive so far on the free agency market signing pitchers, Dylan Cease to a 7 year/$210 million contract, and MVP of the Korean league, Cody Ponce to a 3 year/$30 million contract.

I wish him the best but he is going to have problems.

He's slow to get started and the pitch clock killed him.

Great player but not a good fit for the MLB. I can see him heing DFA'd by the first half of the season.

Baseball is the ultimate rollercoaster sport in terms of career trajectory, especially as a pitcher. One day you're at the top of your game, and next day you're not. Whether it's due to injuries and loss of command like Aaron Sanchez, or other factors like Manoah's, and the slew of other examples of guys just "no longer having it" suddenly.
