The Blue Jays are moving on to the ALCS! We know that the series will start Sunday.
I felt a little nervous towards the end of the game, particularly in the bottom of the 8th inning when the bases were loaded. Thankfully, the bullpen was clutch this time.
Once again, the Blue Jays used collective contributions from across their roster, as they so often have in this convention-defying season, and are now on their way to the ALCS.
The Blue Jays will have to wait until Friday to know their matchup, which will be the winner of Game 5 between the Seattle Mariners and Detroit Tigers.
The Blue Jays' ALCS opponent, the Seattle Mariners, just came out of a 15-inning slog that lasted just two minutes shy of five hours. That was the winner-take-all Game 5 of the ALDS.
However, despite the Mariners exhausting many of their starting pitchers, they are not pushovers. In fact, they are hungrier for the World Series than the Blue Jays are because the Mariners have yet to reach the World Series and the Mariners are the Blue Jays' 1977 expansion mate.
Here's hoping for a Jays win today...also for the 3 games after that. Seattle is beatable, but They're like the Blue Jays, coming on strong ion the second half of the season and have been flying under the radar. They won't be an easy team to beat.
