This is looking increasingly like a cost-no-object reno.
They could’ve certainly sprung more for the signage. It’s disproportionately small, and looks like a rookie mistake from a first-time businessperson who’s decided signage design isn’t worth paying money for.

The Webster at 121 Scollard Street is now officially open. More interior photos available in this article:

It’s actually a genuinely impressive space. Mies levels of travertine.

The Trattoria Milano restaurant within Eataly at the Manulife Centre is set to reopen on November 10, 2021. The originally opened in February last year but closed shortly after when the pandemic began.

That's where I had my last prepandemic meal indoors. Hopefully they will solve problems such as bringing the wrong dishes and overinflating bills!

Cole Haan (shoe store/101 Bloor W) will close December 24th (according to my brother who was there on the weekend).
That brand has not changed for the better since the 1990s. I took a look at their "dress shoes" on their website and too many of them have soles that belong on running shoes. No thanks.

About five years ago I had pair of Cole Haan oxfords that didn't even last 6 months, with moderate wear. What a waste of $200 that was. Too me Cole Haan it's just another expensive overrated shoe brand made for folks driving to the office and walking around on carpet all day. Not a great product for those who walk around on city sidewalks to commute to work
