So that would place it in fifth place in terms of total office space. Not too bad.

It's interesting to see the sheer volume of space added by just Scotia, Canada Trust and the Bay-Wellington tower all within a three year time span, which doesn't even include the smaller towers. 3.9 million sq. ft.

Strictly speaking, it refers to the four blocks surrounding the Bay/King intersection, although in practice it extends beyond this, to include at least the Royal Bank Plaza and the Brookfield development -- and I am sure that the Bay-Adelaide development will also be included, as well as the Richmond-Adelaide development.

Its boundaries would be Yonge, Front, York and Adelaide (or Richmond).

I'm surprised how close in size Bay Adelaide is to the original Toronto Skyscraper - TD Centre.

It doesn't give that appearance from the current construction site. TD Centre looks larger.

I actually was starting to think a second crane was coming, just due to the sheer size of this project. Even if there is no space for a crane in the core, looking at the RBC project the crane need not be in the core to be functional.
