Are these "info" signs illegal?

I'm seeing posts drilled into sidewalks downtown with advertiment banners on either side of the posts, labelled with "info" or "information" on top. I don't have a picture, but I hope that description helps. Are these legal? I've checked illegalsigns.ca but don't see them listed. If they are illegal I'll call my Counsellor to get them removed.

Are they part of the new Astral Media street furniture? I know part of the contract was to see "Information" stands which are basically posts for the public to post signs that normally get glued to light posts.

Where have you seen these "info" posts?

I see one as I drive up Jarvis from the Gardiner Expressway, IIRC next to the Armory.
