"Elmsley Villa, NW corner of Bay and Grosvenor:"
QUOTE: Thecharioteer.

I like the artist's addition of the "up on the roof ladder" allowing sevice of the chimney pots.

"Holland House, Wellington Street West:"
QUOTE Thecharioteer.

Holland House brings to mind "The Luck of the Dutch & the English", in that both, it to the west and The Merchant's Bank to the east, were spared in what was The Great Fire of Toronto, 1904.

Both sites came within a hair's breadth of the conflagtion, the bank building being occupied (fully?) by none other than The Office of Chas E Goad.

"Blueprints:"
QUOTE: Thecharioteer.

The only comment that I can make is "JOY!".
(Fifth down, JOY Oil Co Service Station, the last example of which is the ex of L'shore & Windemere, now at Sunnyside Park West.)

Thanks. wwebster! When I look at these drawings, I think of the line from "Sunset Boulevard":

"We had faces then..."

Thanks wwwebster!

The TGH, aka The Toronto General Hospital, was brought to us by the efforts of Jos Flavalle, (later Sir Joseph) Mulock Cawthra, and with the help of their Friends.

My public schooling was at R.H.McGregor P.S., directly across the road (Coxwell Ave.) from the East General Hospital.
Because of the similarity in appearance, some first-time visitors mistook the school for the hospital.
