Yeah, it seems to be part of the general Dallas bid. It's like the mayor of Brampton holding a press conference to announce that they're out of the running for HQ2.

There could be some relevance here, given the "I think they're looking for a more advanced urban setting" comment in the article, as there is one municipality in York Region which has been .... aspirational .... the same way Arlington was.

There had been so many of these analysis - the first few were fun, but we’re well past point of diminishing return.

I think, wherever it ends up, that decision was taken a very long time ago. The rest is largely theatrics, and possibly obtaining useful information for branch offices they might not otherwise have had.
