55 Charles St W Renovations (Azuria)

I like this building for its gritty, urban contribution to Yorkville. I cant say how often I've seen 3-4 police cars parked outside at 10am resolving something from the previous evening. As often as not there's a forensic van there too. Such as this morning.
Greenleaf - what gives?

Lots of parking police park along here and make rounds along Charles, St. Mary St and the other little streets here. Otherwise, not much police that I saw living here for 5 years. Anyway, I moved earlier this year so I found about the explosion in 57 Charles in the news today. 57 Charles is owned separately from 55 Charles.

This Jan 11, 2017 shot by @Benito from the U Condos thread shows that while the south wall of windows have all been replaced on 55 Charles (right background), they haven't done the east side yet. Slow job! I suppose it's something you only want to tackle in the warm weather months.

I really like the new cladding on this tower. I noticed driving into Toronto on the weekend that Palace Pier tower is getting new cladding as well. Sorry I couldn't grab a pic.

Ok some photos of the window replacement. There are windows on almost all the sides of this building that have been replaced. Boy does it ever help this building which I've always liked.

^ Are they replacing those old windows with sliding glass doors there?!

OH, now I see that's what theyve already done on the other side! The Juliet blacony glass kind of blended in and made it all look like a weird configuration of windows.
