Nice list, the global recession doesn't appear to be hitting Toronto's construction too hard as of yet.

The L Tower looks sweet. Toronto is rockin' with it's skyscrapers presence and is rising sky-high at very fast pace. Modernism at it's finest.

Modernism at it's finest.

Mmmmm, there are some yes. There's a great deal of mediocre buildings (and that's being generous in some cases) that have gone up in the past 10 years. There are still some promising projects going up now and a few yet to come should they make their sales targets and get financing.

Silly question I'am sure. Why aren't these in metres? Do people actually remember what a 'foot' is?

Please don't mess wit' mah feet! This is the only posting where I can come and REALLY know how tall a building is going to be.
Metres just don't cut it for measuring skyscraper height for me as feet are smaller and easier to estimate...roughly 10 to a floor give or take. Plus there are more markers 400, 500, 600, etc.
I am looking forward to Toronto's first 300 metre building. But man, a 1000 footer yay!!

I haven't added metres as it may look to cluttered and confuse people. Really it's just the height in feet *3.28. I mad end up trying it out when I get time, but for now I think feet just makes the building so much more imposing of a number i.e. 1,000 ft. versus 305 metres.

Amazing work, all of you guys...much appreciated. We are living through an historic time, the day will come when activity will be reduced, but for now, these real-time inputs are incredible snapshots of projects from inception to completion. Students (both literal, and proverbial) will be reading posts for years to come...

Sorry for things being out of date. I just moved and will have things ready to go hopefully next week. I'm on another computer and haven't had a chance to get things set up.

Half huh? 300 Front hasn't started and the rest haven't either. Let me know which half you think have started and I will look into it

Does Toronto have height requirement?
Why haven't any buildings even been PROPOSED as being over 1000 ft?
I would have thought with a growing city like Toronto there would be quite a few proposals..
