Interesting location. According to the Google Mapses, there's nothing tall around there. I'm assuming its the dilapidated white U-haul rental/self storage building, since the address on the south side of it is 1 Defries, and the other side it is 25.

considering that's part of “downtown" according to city definition, the area does require a lot of intensification.

This is going beside 77 River which is planned to have 580 units in a 34 and 26 storey towers

As part of this proposal, I think its very important to secure an additional strip of land at the rear (valley side) of the site, and that the slope be restored , and some form of public access be established (outlook/trail, stairs down to Bayview and a sidewalk along it)

nice to see downtown development creeping its way towards what i've always thought of as the "hard" eastern edge of the core. With Regent Park, West Donlands and projects like this one there's crazy levels of change happening here right now.

Improving access to the Don Valley trail system would be a great use of Section 37 proceeds.

Agreed! That trail system is fantastic but it could stand some improvements - especially seeing as that many more people will be using it in the coming years.

Does anyone know who's behind this project?
