33. Following the completion of studies/consultations on the Eglinton LRT/Transit City line it is determined that a full subway is required to meet the transportation needs of central Toronto now and in the future. The province agrees to 2/3 funding and Flaherty says....

34. Following more studies/consultations the whole Transit City plan is seen as a totally joke, because Toronto would outgrow it in a matter of time and all planned LRT routes become subway lines

After a federal election is called and urban issues (taxation/infrastructure) dominate the campaign trail, the cities win a percentage of the GST. (To be phased in by 2010.)

36. The Greyound depot on Front St and Sherbourne closes and a new condo development is announced for that site.. interestingly enough the Starbucks down the street disappears and never returns as the result of David Copperfield's latest stroke of a magic, much to the joy of local residents.
