Upcoming condo development in the St. Lawrence Market area (old town/downtown east). Trolleybus is involved but that's all I can find for now.

Anyone with ideas? lol

Is this new?? There were plans (or hopes?) to redevelop this site - the auto body shop - several years ago but I do not remember the potential developer.

does that mean george street diner is gone?
I dont mind the design. The base seems heavy and clunky, but perhaps works well in respect to its surrounding buildings.

Absent fine details, the base look like an anonymous 70s brick clad medical centre. Need work.

So, 131 GEORGE ST is for sale. I guess Trolleybus is divesting in this land assembly. Interesting.

An application was never submitted for this.

My understanding is they couldn't assemble all the buildings on George.

This whole block is, apparently, being assembled by George Brown College. I do not think that they have got it all yet but .....

That is not the case. Allied owns 137 and 145 George, as well as the parking lot and building at 230 Richmond.

Interesting as I heard from a former owner of one of the houses that they had sold to George Brown. I guess we will find out eventually!
