Downtown is unrecognizable compared to 15 even 10 years ago, the rest of the city does feel more urban too, they've reached the countryside line so sprawl has stopped, but its smaller buildings and infills.

Imo i think they'll be very nice. I think more gold, less glass would be nice and maybe more interesting architectual massing but i rather this then some painted balcony gimmick seen on phase 1 to try make the building seem less bulky and straight out of a 5 yr olds minecraft server.

The One definitely is a handsome building similar to the office towers of chicago. If only that was by the waterfront so our skyline pics were a little rosier

I would dispute that claim. Look at 2 queen West, a massive improvement. If they can do a reno like there this could be a upgrade 🙏

McLennan park offers a pretty good view. If you also drive in from Guelph on highway 7 you can see the skyline as well.

To me it looks quite nice, as it really builds the skyline to have 1 or 2 brightly lit buildings on the skyline. I think hong kong is excessive, but this looks pretty good.
