    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

A good point, for sure. The City's backgrounder on the 2021 census does not break it down, but confirms a continued downward trend amongst all households. using an average percentage vs city-wide rates, my calculation is 1.98, so a little lower, but still 16,800-17,800 residents.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

2021 Census puts Toronto's average household size at 2.4, so despite @Northern Light 's good context, that's puts you at that target (if 9,000 units is correct). And that was before the housing market fully tipped into new territory.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I believe they did that a few months back, quoting weekly additional trains along the Kitchener corridor to make it sound enormous.

Dundas West/ Bloor Mobility Hub +interconnected hub network (Metrolinx)

I don't think Metrolinx / the government are very liberal (pun kind of intended) in providing target completion dates these days.

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

This is something I've been wondering about for a long time; not necessarily an EMU, just a conversion to essentially make the cab car or a coach into a slug for distributing tractive power. I do respect that may not be as simple as it sounds though.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Cynicism over the years convinced me they were blowing me off when I emailed them about additional service. I'm glad it's actually happening.

    TTC: Redesigning TTC Signage

Oh ya, I'm not serious about this being on official signage, just wanted to take a crack at it. It may show up in some of my work.

    TTC: Redesigning TTC Signage

So I stumbled on this thread through a Google search. AIGA doesn't really have a symbol for trams, but ISO 7001 has this: I got super sidetracked on a potential YouTube video tonight and redesigned the new streetcar pictogram for fun tonight, thoughts?

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I drive 124 occasionally but I try to avoid it like the plague; I opt for county roads further south. I can say it's heavy (mostly moving, to be fair) most of the day and gridlocked during rush hours. It's certainly not Toronto-bound traffic, it's a bunch of Guelph <> Cambridge commuters like...

I seem to recall there being a Niagara EA that roughed out a yard concept.

Yeesh, can you imagine a world without lawyers?!

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

"Union Station Rail Corridor" or USRC is the official term, and this is evidenced by the signs. In the east, the USRC officially goes / went to the signals at the Don for the Kingston sub, and south if Dundas for the Bala sub. In the west, I don't know is what the true "extent" is. I recall...

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

A couple brief comments: The robustness of noise walls is driven by noise legislation. If there's ever going to be flexibility for other treatments, either more 'aesthetically pleasing' alternatives need to meet the noise attenuation standards, or there needs to be lower standards (for whatever...

    Toronto Park Lawn GO Station | 12.83m | 2s | First Capital | Hatch

The documented rationale for keeping Mimico aside, is it any factor that the TOD plans for Mimico GO keep getting...sigh...derailed? Really donning a tin foil hat here, but would the government use this as an excuse to cut costs by not refreshing a station and operate it because of these plans...

GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

Just when you thought the days of mis-matched consists spattered with old MTO green coaches were getting fewer, they still find a way to screw things up. :P

As an MPP, doesn't she have the parliamentary privileges to get this info anyway?

That's a great sign. I was down there two nights ago and did not see the display screens, so they're definitely moving. I'll get really excited when track maintenance comes through, some tamping is still required I think.

Mid Humber Gap Trail Study (City of Toronto)

It's important to note that Hurricane Hazel set the bar in many southern Ontario watersheds; the amount of rain dropped over that 48 hours is what conservation authorities use to mark the extent of their regulatory floodplains. You can check out this map to get an idea. A lot of stormwater...

Mid Humber Gap Trail Study (City of Toronto)

This is also failing to mention that if such a catastrophic level of flooding was forecast, the City and TRCA would be putting flood warnings on blast. People would be warned not to go in the ravines, and worst case scenario, I don't see someone boxing themselves in on a bridge. The real...
