Westwood at Pape Village (Centra Homes) - Real Estate -

Westwood at Pape Village by Centra Homes Location: 170 Westwood Avenue (Danforth and Pape) Website: http://centra-homes.ca/westwood-at-pape-village/ I've been eyeing this project for a while, even though I prefer more modern designs. There are 2000 sq. ft. semis for about $940k. I couldn't...

Churchill Collection (288-290 St Clair W, National Homes, 4s, ?)

I assume they had to pay to get another tree planted and maintained elsewhere, but yeah, it's unfortunate.

    Toronto Cabin | 21.03m | 6s | Curated Properties | RAW Design

I like the look of this. Trying to decide if I would be okay with the wood paneling on the walls: http://www.cabintoronto.com/interiors/ It's certainly in line with the theme and name.

Ossington Luxury Townhomes, The (1145 Ossington Ave, Dunpar Homes)

I was considering one of these, but wasn't nuts about that stretch of Ossington (along with being on a busy'ish street like that). I was also a little concerned about construction not having started and that they were advertising a completion date that wasn't too far away. I would've preferred...

Town Lofts, The (143 Strachan Ave, ?, 3s, Stamp Architecture)

Those are something else indeed. I wonder how hard it is to find buyers for something of that size and cost in that neighbourhood. Maybe they'll become offices?

Bartholomew, The (The Daniels Corporation) - Real Estate -

Anyone know if they started sales for the townhouses on Sutton Ave? They're tearing down the church and building quite large towns there.

    Toronto Jaedon Mews | ?m | 3s | UrbanQuest | Arch DWG

The rooms in these are a little under 13' wide. Is that pretty good? I've never lived in a place with this sort of layout. Love the neighbourhood.

One6Nine Jones Townhomes (Lifestyle Custom Homes) - Real Estate -

Very curious to see how this turns out. I wonder what that covered up hole in the roof is for. Anyone know what the maintenance fees will look like?

    Toronto Wallace Walk Towns | ?m | 4s | The Somerset Group | KFA

I've enjoyed reading this thread to get some insight into the new build buying process. We're the standard finish options for the flooring, tiles & counters pretty good? I'm paranoid that builders will deliberately make the default finishes ugly/dated in order to force buyers to upgrade...

35 Wabash (Zinc Developments) - Real Estate -

I wish they would minimize the amenities on projects like these to help bring the condo fees down. I think this one has a yoga studio, which I suppose sounds nice, but I don't know how many people will actually use it. It may not have much effect on the fees, but it's still something. I...

Howard Park (Triumph) - Real Estate -

The townhouses connected to this project look nice too. I'm just scared of the maintenance fee.

What to do with old bicycles?

Would www.freecycle.org be a good option?

    CityPlace

It was brutal trying to leave the area after a Jays game got out. I wonder if they'll get rid of the median on Fort York and put in an extra lane in each direction. I like the way it looks, but I'm not sure if the traffic can handle one lane in each direction.

I guess the Starbuck's killed Spot Coffee. That's too bad. It's harsh seeing the smaller players getting crushed.

    Best Burger

I still have to try Wahlburgers, but I'm still partial to Big Smoke burger.

    Sylvan Collection @48 Havelock St (?, 3s, ?) COMPLETE

I see a number of these units on MLS. I guess there are only so many people looking to spend over $1M on a 1700 sq ft townhouse near Dufferin mall. It looks like quite a nice neighbourhood though (especially with the park), but I'm not sure if Dufferin Mall scares some people away.

    Sylvan Collection @48 Havelock St (?, 3s, ?) COMPLETE

I heard they reclaimed the brick during the demo and are putting it back in. I guess that was part of the permit agreement in an attempt to somewhat preserve the original building. Sounds like that would be very costly, so hopefully it's appreciated.

Great looking project. Wish I had $1.3M burning a hole in my pocket. :)

35 Wabash (Zinc Developments) - Real Estate -

I should mention that there was no info on upgrades. It's pretty scary buying a place and having no idea how good the standard finishes will be and how expensive the upgrades will be. By the time you find out, it's tough to get out of the contract. Also, parking is $45k and lockers are $7500...

35 Wabash (Zinc Developments) - Real Estate -

I went to their launch event. The most expensive units are 1500-1600 sq ft (with a 300-400 sq ft patio) ranging from $960k-1.13M. The 1000 sq ft units (with a 200 sq ft patio) are about $650k. The prices may have gone up since then. I was hoping they'd be a little cheaper and/or larger, but...
