    Toronto 175 Cummer | 10.49m | 3s | City of Toronto | Montgomery Sisam

This is because you clearly aren't a planner. The planner witness for Willowdale was arguing that the zoning should be changed to restrict the lands occupancy to seniors only (restricting a land's use to prevent vulnerable people from living there is called 'people zoning' and that isn't legal...

Just got mail concerning it. It has been appealed to the Ontario Land Tribunal because of a non-decision. The Case Management Conference will be on June 13th starting at 10am.

    Toronto Six Points Plaza Redevelopment | 144.6m | 45s | Liberty Development | Arcadis

"A total of 914 parking spaces are proposed across the Six Point Plaza Redevelopment of which 645 are for residents' use, 53 spaces are for nonresidential uses, and 216 spaces are for visitors." I hope that this gets changed at some point. This just seems like a huge waste of space for parking...

After several failed motions, the zoo was refused at the Committee of Adjustment today.

    Toronto Woodside Square Redevelopment | 112.1m | 33s | WSIM Group | Graziani + Corazza

Coincidentally, there is a request at the committee of adjustment to approve some minor variances in order to permit an indoor zoo to replace this theatre. The hearing date is Jul 10, 2020. I'm not sure where these fits into these plans.

Are you voting strategically for Tory?

I'll be voting Ari Goldkind. You only get to vote for a mayor once every 4 years. Might as well vote for the person you actual want running things rather than leave it to the polling firms to do the voting for you.

    2014 Ontario Provincial Election

@ W.K That could be the case but since this is decided riding by riding it seems to me like the most likely way for the PC's to get into power is if the NDP takes a bunch of Liberal held urban seats while the conservatives take a few liberal held suburban seats. Enough so that the conservatives...

2014 Municipal Election: Toronto Mayoral Race

Yea personally I thought it was probably one of the worst debates I've ever seen. I mean I'm sure there are countries in the world where a political debate turns into using chairs to bash each other, and this was better than that, but having 5 people yell at each other for 3 minutes at a time...

    Burka Architects has Shut Down

Funny I've always thought of the Gates of Guildwood as being pretty bland (design wise).

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Wow he really is trying to go out with a bang. http://www.torontosun.com/2013/11/02/rob-ford-calls-peel-police-on-trailing-media Apparently he is planning on doing his radio show tomorrow. I think it will be pretty entertaining to see what he and his brother came up with as excuses for this...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

I would favour alarmed personally. Just because something as basic as this should have been caught long ago. Particularly given the name of the current SRT stop (Lawrence East). It certainly is amusing though.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

I'd hardly call $700 million / stop fiscally responsible.

At least I now know I'm not the only one who read something about it. I still have no idea where I read it.
