    It's actually cheap to build right now with all the contractors out there with little work and interest rate being so low (as long as you can't get a loan), plus these building are going to take 2-4 years to complete. So owners are looking at it saying its cheap to build and the resession...

    I depends on how long the job will be on hold. Cranes are like cars they need to be ran every once and a while to keep them in shape. If they where to keep them on site they would need to send someone there everyweek to do upkeep.As for these cranes they are owned by the forming company the same...

    I was told that they still plan on going ahead may a soon as sept. but that is all talk nothing confirmed. The major issue with this project was that the mech. engineer really messed up this project. They designed the systems too small which are on the second floors and had to redesign them...

    I have done about 40% of the building in TO, the concrete formers on this project are the same at RBC, Ritz and Mapleleafs Square .

    He also mentioned that he heard they might stop at ground or second but with them almost at the ground he said that he doubted that would happen and said that the 7th floor was more of chance. I really don't thin anybody knows, if it will go or if they will put it on hold. Everybody says that...

    The reason that parking levels are going so slow is that there has been alot of changes to the pg. The reason is that the townhouses in the front where not selling because they where too big and pricey. So they redesigned them a bit smaller and will now have some retail.

    Beleive me I have worked on every cityplace building since 2000 and once they are done forming the pg this place will rise pretty fast. I expect the west building drawings in the next 2 months or so.

    No crane to come down just yet, the owner is just shopping around for a mortgage. He was saying that the previous mortgage holder raised his rates and it wasn't worth to build with these rates. I was told we should here in the next week or so. I keep you posted.
