    Ottawa Transit Developments

Sarcasm, but there is an easier solution, just order the Siemens S200s that SF Muni has with steps and a wheelchair lift, though this would wreck accessibility.

So what are they going to replace everything with, considering it'll never be high-floor? Now, ain't that the damn truth... Work from home really made people lazy. Happy Holidays to all and to all a good night.

    Ontario Northland/Northern Ontario Transportation

My understanding was TMC since these are identical to the VIA sets.

    TTC Cartography, Signage, and Wayfinding

It saddens me how often people re-post the same thing without checking whether its been posted before. Guess this is just a symptom of (as Mods have said) hitting the ignore button.

    General railway discussions

Interesting to see British Railways being brought back to public operators via this Great British Railways rebranding:

    Thank Edna Shiner.

    TTC: Streetcar Network

^ FFS, I was talking about the possibility of having a rear door, like the Flexities have, Tatras have, and certain PCCs in the States had. I remember PCCs with three sets of fold-out doors at the rear (Chicago/Boston?) Yeah, we didn't used to have fare inspection on streetcars, certainly not...

    TTC: Streetcar Network

Very cool indeed!! I'd never seen this before: ~5:50 ~8:20 --- Just thinking about the design of the CLRVs, it seems like they would've been well suited for a third set of doors at the rear, like Tatras. Was this ever contemplated?

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I knew these LRT lines were awry when we didn't adopt four-aspect signals: K-W has the flashing stop bar indicating that the signal is about to change to green. On Helsinki's Line 15, tram operators are afforded ~13 seconds notice at 70km/h (8 seconds with German F4, 5 seconds with red/yellow...

Guelph Transit Update (and it's much better)

^ What was really ever wrong with the old livery that it needed replacing?? Seems like they could've easily re-implemented this: kevinsbusrail.com The whole rebranding seemed silly to begin with, just like GOVA in Sudbury - as in some university department said instead of actually fixing...

Sorry, but when this U-dip happens... These need to be retired.

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Two years ago... They should sure as hell be able to make those interchange stations flash. What annoys me is they printed those TR maps as if lights are supposed to appear behind Line 5/6 station/stops, fully knowing that they'll never be replaced. They should've just left white dots like...

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I wonder if that thick orange border is meant to signify that this station will be under Ontario Line construction for years. That to me is the only plausible reason for this update at Don Valley. The TTC used orange for notices: Source Edit: Yea, GO does this too: Source

    TTC Cartography, Signage, and Wayfinding

Thought this would be worthwhile reposting in a more prominent thread: If we seriously have to rename Pioneer Village again, then Maria Augimeri or her estate should cover the costs from renaming it from Steeles West originally.

    TTC Cartography, Signage, and Wayfinding

What screwed my OCD the most is they show: Yonge, Front, University, Spadina, Allen - but Jane isn't shown!

    Montréal Transit Developments

^ No offense, but sounds like immigrants trying to escape the States without knowing that REM is fully within a segregated ROW, considering this happened around Brossard... --- I wanted to share two videos of the Réseau-express-ascenceurs at É-M: It's so cool seeing a lift go 20 floors in...

No further comment, this is done - the Church council voted overwhelmingly against this. (Thankfully!!)

Sincerely hope people are checking out the various threads on AgoraMTL!!! Credit: @AliFatCat First proper photos of the Côte-de-Liesse Exo Mascouche terminus I've seen! Ps. Miles promised he'd be there. ;)

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

^^ Not to derail this thread any further... But, Thank You from the bottom of my heart @Northern Light for this, and everything you do for this City. You're so under-appreciated for all the good you do behind the scenes. Kind of like a real-life Superman, lol.
