    Toronto Pinnacle Etobicoke | 137.76m | 43s | Pinnacle | Turner Fleischer

Not sure if this is the right thread but the Candian Tire just west of this proposal has closed and the gas bar demolished. I do recall there being a development proposal for the Can Tire land, just not sure if it was included in the above plans.

    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

Bally's departed Canada about 5 years ago. I'd be surprised that they intend to return. I'd also be surprised that they're not bound by a non-compete provision when they sold their Canadian operation to Goodlife.

    Aren't they called "back-splits"?

    Toronto TeaHouse 501 Yonge Condominiums | 170.98m | 52s | Lanterra | a—A

Regarding above-ground parking, could they not build 2-3 storeys of commercial at grade and then the parking on top of that? See Ryerson's business school as an example - Canadian Tire at grade and parking on top.

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

I walked by there earlier this week and noticed the reappearance of the amateurish and handwritten "For Lease" sign affixed to 205Yonge. I assumed that any plans for that building had died.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

From the above globe article: Mr. Perks, however, predicted that Metrolinx’s EA, which he said is subject to council approval, could become a lightning rod for critics of Mr. Ford’s plan. “This could be the issue that forces Transit City in front of this council for the first time.”

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

The cancellation of Transit City was never put to a vote but was made by fiat by the Fords. People who flip-flopped on the issue like Milczyn didn't want a vote for fear of their reversal being exposed. I'd love to see how he and other former TC supporters like Stintz who are now on the Exec...

    Toronto Vü Condos | 83.51m | 24s | Aspen Ridge | Hariri Pontarini

I share your anger about this collosal waste of such an important opportunity. That dark, low-ceilinged corner walkway is hardly the inviting transparent corner that could easily have been achieved. What I just cannot figure out is why that was not taken into account. I don't think it would...

Why do police have to stand at construction sites?

It's even more ridiculous than that. Ford ratted out city employees to the CRA. City employees, even those who did not use the parking, had their taxes reassessed. Then city council (including Rob Ford) voted in favour of the city picking up the tab. This cost the city $millions.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Presumtious? Not at all. That's the actual amount so far that the province is clawing back from the city. Way to go Rob!

    Rob Ford's Toronto

How about the $47 million squandered when they cancelled Transit City. Hardly a peep from the media.

They said that too about Bay st until the four seasons relocated to the east side.

I agree. HR has 5 years left on their lease - enough time to essentially demo HBC and then move in

    Toronto The Pemberton | 215.79m | 68s | Pemberton | a—A

How about the HBC at Yonge & Bloor. HBC has been spending a lot of money renovating the Queen St store but Y&B remains a dump. I bet HBC would love to shed that lease. HR could take it over and renovate it, either for a permanent or temporary location and its current location can be razed for...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

I cannot be disappointed in Rob Ford since my expectations could not be any lower. I am, however, disappointed in members of the executive committee who have become Ford's enablers in his unprecedented attack on public transit. I'm pointing my finger at Milczyn and Stinz in particular. Both...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Cutting Ford Out MetroMan This scenario is entirely plausable. In fact, I think it's happening sooner than I expected. Remember, very few members of executive committee are dim-witted enough to be true believers in the Rob Ford agenda. Most are just spineless opportunists. (Possibly...
