Toronto Liberty Central by the Lake | ?m | 27s | CanAlfa | IBI Group

A friend is renting in this building. He has been there since July 2015, and the building is still not done inside. Hallways don't have carpet, walls don't have paint/wallpaper. The gym is done but is not open to residents yet. Is this normal?

Thank you for this. Liberty Village is definitely behind the other 2 for me because of commuting to work, but am still keeping it open as a possibility.

Thanks! Regarding Lakeshore/Bathurst, traffic I don't mind because I would take the Queens Quay streetcar to union and then subway to eaton centre.

    Opinions on these Areas

I'm looking to buy my first condo. I've been considering Liberty Village, Cityplace, and Lakeshore/Bathurst areas. What are your opinions on these areas. I've heard a lot of bad stuff about Cityplace on this board, but its just so affordable for me. I'm looking at something under 380k for 1 or...

I'm sure the States have their share of crappy projects, but I do think they have a greater amount of nicer ones. What do you consider to be the top 5 in Canada? Scotia, Royal Bank, Bow, TD Centre, Place Ville Marie? Now what do you think are the top American office towers? Having bigger...

Its true that people tend to favour a vacation destination over their hometown because they are on vacation but in terms of architecture NY and Chicago do look better. And so do a lot of American cities. Because they have a greater proportion of office towers and office towers are almost always...

That podium is awful. Hoping this is just the beginning.

Love the scale of the project. Midrise is perfect for this area.

The prices for Newton seem pretty low. Wonder why?

    Condo Fees vs. Home Ownership

Didn't know where to put this as it probably doesnt warrant its own thread but... I'm planning on buying my first condo. I've done a bit of research and found variable info. I'd like to know how much I should expect to be paying IN ADDITION to the condo. (eg. maintainance fee, appraisal fee...

    Toronto Velocity at the Square | 122.52m | 40s | HNR | P + S / IBI

This is such a hideous design for such a prominent tourist area. I wonder if we can get enough people to email, we can let them know how bad the design is!

    Isabella/Huntley block (Rogers land assembly)

With the shift towards working downtown, maybe Rogers will move its Brampton campus employees downtown?

Hopefully that 4 story blue building on the south side of Dundas at the same intersection is next.

If thats the case, then between the new head offices of Deloitte, E&Y, KMPG, and PWHC, E&Y wins BY FAR.

Projects and construction- 2004 skyline + future render

I think its that office building on University Ave that is getting a "4 Seasons" lookalike added to it.

    Toronto Ten York Street Condos | 224.02m | 65s | Tridel | Wallman Architects

I wonder if we email/tweet Tridel or Wallman with this idea, would it work? That red addition is stunning!

I respect that they are making use of the shape, but aside from the podium this is actually pretty dull. I wouldn't mind it too much in other parts of the city, but this will be part of the postcard view, and this needs a better design.

Isn't Deloitte a competitor of KPMG? Wouldn't they want their headquarters to stand out MORE than their rival, rather than be a shorter twin of it?
