Yes but a project that turns out to be 3x more than estimated is either a lie or ineptitude at its highest order. We would all be fired for understating the cost of a project so egregiously that one can only surmise that it was lying or wilful negligence which is akin to lying.

Easier than Union by BILLIONS of dollars as demonstrated by inept Metrolinx who lied about the OL and said it would cost $9BN and here we are at over $27BN for a choo choo train that will run half of its journey outside at a cost of over a $BN per kilometre but somehow Alto is going to deliver...

When half of it is NOT tunnelled and in fairly sparse areas - yes I can - especially when Alto will need to navigate a portion of the exact same route. When has the Gov not understated infrastructure projects? How are you surprised by the notion that it’s likely already understated by 50%...

The $80-90BN budget is a dream. Metrolinx is going to spend $30BN on 15.8km of Ontario line. How will 900km+ cost only 3x more when they’ll literally need to build hundreds of bridges? Gotta love Gov estimates!!

The good news about metrolinx’ latest failure on Finch is we may actually get to transit priority light systems like the rest of the world got in 1993. Woot woot!

Let’s just all pray the OL will actually be operational soon. It needs to be operational before we can speculate on traffic patterns and make lasting decisions. In the meantime. Hope the city can kill off street parking on all streetcar routes and move on with things….

Fair but an easier move would be extending the Bloor line from Kipling an extra 1.5km to service Sherway and the go electrification should bring Parklawn a stop on the lakeshore line while the OL could loop up dufferin or Jane to take pressure off those busy bus routes

Black aluminum trim on floor 2 and 3 looks good. Would be nice to also trim out or black stucco the concrete face of the terraces on floor 4 tho. They’re working hard to get this place done

Spoken like a city bureaucrat. There is zero plan for a transit connection that will operate prior to EH being stood up. Delivering on a road first is us repeating our car first problematic past.

Would be great if the Broadview streetcar could loop across Commisioners and back to the city up Cherry street. The new Biidaasige park is already a busy area but we’ll wait until all the condos go in before anything gets done
