    Restaurant Comings & Goings

I believe the higher A & W count is their larger presence relatively in Western Canada. On a cross Country tip years ago when A & W was mainly a mall food court presence in Ontario, I was surprised at the number of stand alone full restaurants in big small locations across the Prairies.

Interesting Black Widow light reflection pattern at the top of the building. Did the Red Room get relocated secretly to Toronto? :D

    Ontario Northland/Northern Ontario Transportation

In my humble opinion, I would think Bloomington would make for a better stop than Gormely.

I could see this as the pre election goodie that today's announcement will be about.

    General railway discussions

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I thought rail car breaks operated on a negative air pressure system. If there is no air pressure, then the breaks are locked in place, it takes air pressure to release the brakes to move. In other words if there is no air pressure, the railcar will not...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Well with election time near, maybe it's time to start asking current MPP's what's going on at Metrolinx? We need Government members to publicly defend their agency and opposition members publicly grill Government members about these decisions. If, as speculated, this is all about making good...

The seemingly terminal decline of Tim Hortons

I went to George Brown College for Food and Beverage Management and one of the Chefs there said breakfast is the hardest meal to prepare for others because everyone wants it to be exactly how their Mom made it, and that's practically an impossible task.

The seemingly terminal decline of Tim Hortons

I believe the 20 minute Always Fresh still stands, however with the new urns being large Thermoses, the "bottom of the pot" coffee cannot get burned like the old traditional pots sitting on a burner to keep warm. If your cup happened to come from a pot that was let's say 16 mins old it's still...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I hope Metrolinx can quickly ramp up service as it looks like many of the COVID restrictions are soon ending, and I suspect passenger counts will quickly rise to the point current service levels cannot handle the influx.

    Pickering Airport (Transport Canada/GTAA, Proposed)

Ah, but the proposed Airport will soon not be in a field. The town of Seaton is rapidly coming into existence.

Yes your photos are of the Foodie Aisle and if it was ever open, it was only open for a brief period. I can only assume it closed again (if ever open) due to lack of customers during Omicron lockdown. The now closed concourse is further south of the Foodie Aisle in your photos.

We're talking Apples and you're talking Oranges. The Foodie Aisle has never opened due to just being constructed. I'm sure it will open soon. The concourse that is now closed for a long term re-construction is the farthest south hallway corridor that was never really part of the Union Station...

    VIA Rail

How many VIA Rail Acts have died on the order paper over the years? This seems like such a broken record in Ottawa during my lifetime.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

What will happen to "Line 3" ? And by that I mean the name Line 3. Will it be reassigned to the Ontario or some other line or will it just disappear from TTC use?

Just like Oprah, you get a Farm Boy, and you get a Farm Boy, everyone gets a Farm Boy!

Can't wait until those orange construction type barricades are replaced with the permanent railing. They are the only blight on those podium photos!

Does the Supercolumn steel continue to rise with the tower, or does it get progressively get thinner as it rises?
